Radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer in this country, and according to the EPA, all 64 of Colorado's counties run the risk of containing Radon levels above the current action limit. It is so common in our state that over 80% of Colorado's residents have heard of and are aware of the effects of radon gas.
Luckily, radon testing and mitigation is affordable in today's market and typically does not interfere with the sale of a home. The tests usually take no more than 48 hours and are very unobtrusive to the homeowner. Having a radon test or mitigation done on a pre-sale usually provides the prospective buyers with an added piece of mind while considering making your home their own.
I use top of the line monitoring equipment calibrated by the manufacturer in all of my inspections. In typical situations I can provide next day monitoring to help expedite the process should some type of mitigation service be needed.
